Oh, friends. You are fantastic. Within about 24 hours, 15 of 16 outstanding sources for this vid project, plus 8 new sources, had at least one volunteer, and your comments have already helped me refine the character spreadsheet.

I will be contacting you soon, probably in order of my enthusiasm about the source.

Meanwhile, I accidentally missed a handful of shows on the list. Is anyone up for consulting on these?

Poll #18077 Follow-up sources for auction vid

I can advise you on these sources that you forgot to include in the first poll (plus the one that didn't get any volunteers):

Also to do: somehow figure out whether the characters currently flagged as "key" -- in bold here, built from Sigrid's and my opinions plus some of yours from the last post's comments -- are the "right" ones. (Thinking there is an objective way to determine this may be my problem here, heh.) Thoughts welcome.

BrainDead!!! There are two supporting characters who appear in every episode and are instrumental in fighting the brain-eating zombie bugs apocalypse:

- Nikki M. James plays Dr. Rochelle Daudier, whose father is the bugs' first casualty. She meets Lauren (the show's protagonist) and starts out researching the scientific side of the attacks, but inevitably gets more involved in other kinds of action. I'd say her key episodes are 6, 8, 11, and 13.

- Johnny Ray Gill plays Gustav Triplett, a conspiracy theorist who first figures out what is happening, tells Lauren about it, and gathers most of the key evidence about the bugs. It's hard to choose key episodes since he has so many scenes crucial to the plot development; if you're looking for something specific, there are pretty comprehensive episode summaries on Wiki.

These two characters team up somewhat reluctantly, so they appear together in a bunch of scenes (and the show itself mocks the trope of pairing up POCs). Let me know what you're looking for; I won't be able to rewatch the show, but I remember its only season pretty well.

ETA the season is on CBS All Access with subscription, but I think you can get a free trial week; not sure if you'll be able to stream all of it, though, since I've never used it.
