Funny, three was my least favorite and everyone else seems to have left it alone; it's interesting to have someone defend it. Thomas Kretschmann -- I was going to say this in the original post but no one knows who he is -- is about the only actor who makes suspenders sexy IMO.

Side note: Heh, you're going *way* back. I'm making my way through yours as well -- have just finished the prologue to your plague story -- great so far. I don't know 24 but I love The Stand so I'm looking forward to more.
