Wow. An actual good episode. That had structure and emotion worthy of the early seasons. And consciences! Foreman made me make sad-distressed faces at the screen. Note to self: It's still worth slogging through the rest for hours like these.
I definitely enjoyed this ep. It was nice to finally meet Foreman's brother, and all the House/Wilson interactions were wonderful. The episode could have used a tad more Taub, though.
It was good! Loved the POTW's mom; she was awesome in her mom-ness.
Loved (of course) the continued "House & Wilson are one unit" theme, and how Lucas pointed out to House that Wilson would suffer equally even with less physical violence against him, because Wilson emotionally cares more.
A lot of anti-Lucas sentiment going around fandom, but I did like that he pwned House&Wilson. They both, in their own different ways, get to thinking that they're above reproach, and a sharp smack is a good reminder.
Most inexplicable Wilson moment: Him banning House from the only bathtub in the place, especially when House had just admitted that his leg hurt.
Actually, now I just this moment thought of an explanation -- if Wilson saw the bathtub usage as a pretext for House beginning a campaign to take over the better bedroom. That might be why (and would parallel to Foreman not wanting to give his brother an inch, afraid he'd take a mile). Still, Wilson should have let him have bathtub privileges of some kind.
Note to self: It's still worth slogging through the rest for hours like these.
Yeah. ♥
I've been trying to put my finger on *why* I enjoyed this episode more than the others, but haven't quite figured it out yet... and it's not necessarily the content because any of the plots could've been terrible botched. So, no clue! But that's okay. I'm glad just having enjoyed. :)
Just finished watching and it was so nice to get some more real live continuity in the form of Foreman's brother. They seem to dole this stuff so very sparingly.
I was so happy that it wasn't Wilson pranking House - I thought that safety rail thing was positively dangerous. (Okay, the cane thing was a little, but not to the same extent imo.) They did kind of deserve that. Wilson's 'omg, not the flat screen' was so... words fail me.
I could have done without Wilson holding the giant flashing neon lecturing sign that said 'SEE HOUSE IS ACTUALLY BEING NICE AFTER ALL', but whatever XD

And the H/W stuff cracked me up! When the safety bar came off in the bath, I totally blamed Wilson. *g*
