Ah'm spicehhhh

Why didn't I know it was this easy to make buffalo chicken? I never need to pay $8 for a ranch-drowned sandwich again. Mmmm.

(1:3 butter:hot sauce, cook chicken, pour sauce over it. Devour.)

Pluses of late:
+ Heard back today from one of my fave high school teachers, whom I emailed in a fit of nostalgia over the weekend, not knowing if the address I had was right or if he was even still alive
+ There was money in the mail for me when I got home
+ Dragged myself out of self-pity/lethargy last night to see an out-of-town friend and a group of locals for a couple of hours
+ Confirmed there will be friends and pie over Thanksgiving weekend in NY
+ Reading a (Reboot) Kirk/Pike WIP
+ I have not yet killed either of the house plants
+ The leaves, O the leaves, and the weather, after the rain

Ooh, that recipe sounds so good. Crumble a tiny bit of blue cheese over the top (or sprinkle on blue cheese dressing) and... mmmmm. I like the cooling contrast of the blue cheese/dressing but like you, I hate having too much.

I took this PSA from the 80s to heart!

That is sage advice indeed.

I read that you should use ordinary hot sauce and not tabasco sauce, so I got Frank's Hot Sauce. Which worked like a spicy charm. There was also Frank's Buffalo Sauce, but I figured I could get more mileage out of a bottle if I added my own butter. :)

Yay for the pluses! There had better be money in the mail for me soon or I'll have a hard time paying my mortgage this month. (I hate when my clients are late with their checks.)

The leaves, O the leaves,

Definitely! And the bright blue, cloudless sky and slighly chilly temperature. These are the kinds of days when I really miss flying.

Mmm.

And speaking of O, I just read on Slate that those Levi's commercials that sounded like they had Whitman poetry in them do, in fact, have Whitman poetry in them. http://www.slate.com/id/2233597/

I've made big batches of buffalo wings for parties. You just make them ahead of time and then heat them up in the oven when you get to the party. ;)
