I like the way this vid moves! Ahh, Vin Diesel. The vehicular section has a particularly dancey rhythm. The, uh, mood of this vid fits the movies very well -- cheerfully gratuitous and gratifying. ;)

Indeed - it took many, many times before I could watch those clips of Riddick flying through the air in slow-mo without cracking up. Riddickulous. (*groan*)

& glad you liked the hoverbike/spacecraft bit. I really liked the slow spins, and *cough* people may know at this point that I enjoy some throttle-pushing spaceship action, so I ended up re-editing the song to insert one more, uh, [technical term for round of music], to squeeze it in. Didn't get to include some switch-flicking and light-ups, but that's okay.

Ahh, Vin Diesel.

Hee, yay! I was happily taken aback by how much Riddick got tied up in the first two movies. That, in combination with the power barely restrained and then unleashed with such graceful/gymnastic (albeit often way over the top) moves... This vid just had to happen.

I have to say I was disenchanted with the series with the latest film - I don't mind rooting for an asshole anti-hero, but when they made him a misogynist for no particular reason, that turned me off. HOWEVER, I did used to like them so I gave your vid a shot anyway, and it reminds me of the good ol' days when he was just evil to everyone uniformly, so I consider it a success. :)

I agree, Riddick was disappointing on pretty much every level. I was hesitant to even include Starbuck Dahl here because that scene was such an irritating turn of character in a movie that had already treated her badly. But. Out of context it still looks sexy, and I like the actress and she did her best with what they gave her.

Anyway, glad you gave the vid a go and enjoyed it!
