31 Days, 31 Memories - Day 7
Jan. 6th, 2006 11:57 pm7. High School
Our ninth-grade English teacher told us in the beginning of the year that it would be difficult to get A's in his class. I did it. Sitting on the edge of a swimming pool at a graduation party three years later, an acquaintance told me that another girl, upset with her lower grades, had started a rumor that I was sleeping with the teacher.

Suddenly she came running back screaming her head off. She had seen a boy (about 17 years old) who lived in the block next to mine and decided that he was a child molester because he had red hair.
