Recalled to Life

The bad:
- Today was my last day of vacation.
- Today was my last day of vacation, and I got sunburnt.
- Today was my last day of vacation, and we have to be at the airport at 3-something a.m.
- Tuesday it is back to work and the real world.

The good:
- It was a very nice vacation.
- roga rocks.
- I got to meet kassrachel, lomedet and sabrina_il too!
- Finished all the postcards! Will mail them before I leave – so if you’re reading this and asked for a card and haven’t gotten one yet, that may be why.
- Watched the SGA premiere.
- Met my cousin/aunt/relative person in Tel Aviv,
- Met roga’s family, who are all awesome, even though I don’t understand most of what they’re saying. :)
- Saw some other nifty sites, including two museums, a cave, the ancient port city of Jaffa/Yafo, an opera in the park, two beaches, a marina, more of Jerusalem, and an attraction that was a miniature version of Israel.
- Possibly more, but it’s late and it feels later because of how early we have to get up.

See you post-flights and pre-return to work, hopefully with many photos.

Congrats for not getting sunburnt until the last day! Did you end up sleeping at all, or were you saving it all up for the flight home?

I'm glad the good surpasses the bad! And, you know, reading this I naturally have to be especially fond of the good, and especially hateful of the bad, particularly since I share your sunburn, sigh.

You had better make a photo post, missy! Do not put it off for months and months like I do.

Hope you had a good flight home! And that you manage to control the jet lag quickly :-)

I think I got about 3-4 hours in all, throughout the day? It feels like 2:30 a.m. right now, when the clock tells me it is 7:30 p.m. But it is nice to be home!

Flights were great. There were the three people from my trip on the planes, which made for good company, and I cracked open my book after all. Only now it feels so laaaate, but it is earrrrlyyy. *props eyelids open*

I surely hope to do the photo stuff tomorrow on my day off (yay), or at least part of it. \o/

How's the sunburn? Mine is already fading a little, and doesn't hurt much. Is yours okay too, or was it the aloe gel?

Sunburn has faded into a pretty dark tan! Too bad it's still triangle-shaped around my collar :-) A least it hasn't been peeling. Yet.

Looking forward for the photos! I'm... not going to try and calculate whether you're still up or not, but I suspect you're not. Hope you managed to stay awake till night!

Made it till 9:30 here, somehow, and just got up. Mm, 11 hours of sleep. Now debating whether to do a half-day at work and come back and do laundry and photo post and stuff, or just be lazy and take the whole day off.

Glad you're not peely or itchy! And even gladder to have a computer all to myself again, yay to have had the chance to stay with you and get to know you in person a bit, even if through the half-closed eyes of the post-Taglitted.

Thank you so much! My sister hasn't even gotten the one I sent her from Poland yet, so I have no idea when these will get where they're going, but I'm so glad they went out from Israel and not from my mailbox here. :)

Thanks re: offer. Will look closer again. I skimmed my cave pix and I think all of yours are nicer, but you're also welcome to any of mine you like if you haven't got them already.
