Baby's first translation
Feb. 5th, 2008 07:39 pmI've gone global!
leesun211 has translated "No Pain" into Korean. (It takes a minute to load.) How cool is that? :D
On a whim, I ran the text through an automatic translator to see how it read, and then remembered how ridiculous automatic translations are. It yielded such gems as:
"House! Are you going to do a drug? You are a very stupid thing."
and
House, who first saw him heading, and what it means is whether Wilson had apparently did not know him 1/8 Azerbaijan.
and
The hug between the two close. His body was moaning like a person, like Wilson umjikyeotgo House Shake your butt. [...] Wilson, in his throat brutally Suck him in the groin and lying in his garage, and the increasingly rebellious powers of the House feel that the way out of tight otgit Gotcha.
*snickers* (I am sure the original translation is just fine.)
And so, in honor of the brilliance that is electronic text translators, a little something silly to kill time before the Very Last House comes on:
Comment to this post, and I will choose one of your fics (or, if you are not a writer, one of your journal entries), run a passage through a few languages at Google Translate or Babelfish, reconvert it to English, and post the result. Then you can laugh and/or try to figure out where the heck it came from.
Fun? Yes?
