Doubtless a combination. Either way, yum.

First, last night, the way Spock sat on one hip and cushioned Miramanee's head on his thigh toward the end of "The Paradise Syndrome," which I was rewatching with [livejournal.com profile] ignazwisdom over email.

Then, tonight, two scenes from the latest Penny Dreadful: Vanessa lying on the table staring at Mina while the soldier pounded into her, so intense, and then the way Timothy Dalton-as-devil seduced her, ditto. He was so deliciously sinister, riding that knife edge of creepy-sexy, plus that beard during the kiss, mm. IMO those were the sexiest moments in the show to date -- perhaps the only sexy moments in the show to date, despite the previous nudity and sex -- well, excepting whatever you want to call the end of last week's ep.

And now, back to the work I was supposed to be doing. Let us not discuss the disappointment that was last night's Game of Thrones. The amount of stuff they're going to have to cram into next week's finale, yikes.

that's not one of my fave eps. Hollywood Indian stereotypes.

Yes, it's one of many "throw a rock and you'll hit a fail" TOS episodes. We were watching it as part of a series rewatch -- we just started season three -- and in fact just had a conversation about the tensions between enjoyment and recognition of sociopolitical issues as part of our recap of the previous ep, "Elaan of Troyius."

Anyway, that moment stood out for its sexiness in a way it hadn't for me before. Ditto for the two scenes I mentioned from the Penny Dreadful episode, which was on the whole similarly chock full of disturbing and sometimes problematic content.
