But that's nothing compared to the sheer joy in recognizing all the different clips and having my own personal and fannish associations, whom I watched this with, discussed this scene, recced this to. I feel like that a lot about multifannish vids, that they are a rhizome of connections and associations and allusions, and I think part of this intense love I feel for this vid is that as well...just the love for each show and character multiplied and exponentialized, resonating my feelings, and the fandom's feelings, and all of that is before we even get to YOUR fannish intervention, the way the clips fit together, the way you show shared tropes which evoke yet other shows...
OK, runon sentences mean I'm too excited and very unclear. But yes I totally get what you mean about the feedback loops and the ever expanding connections for you and for every individual viewer and for viewers collectively. And I've shown this vid to a ton of nonfannish people who were loving it, because that's the other thing--it's a crossover vid that may not have ALL the meanings for a casual viewer but gives them enough to get it...the meaning and the love!
