i am a passenger

Next week, life returns briefly to normal. For now, thought I'd check in to confirm I'm still alive. We went out for my birthday, and it was excellent; I went to my friend's wedding and only made her cry a little (in the good way); had a couple of evenings out with my trans-Atlantic college friend, including tasty Mexican and margaritas I actually liked; am dealing with a broken old car; need to make concrete plans to burn up some use-or-lose vacation time by the end of the month; and am heading to Chicago right now for my first Vividcon. Which I think will be great -- doubly so if a handful of flisters are compatible in person.

ETA: Also, I think justacat is on my plane.
