I'm glad I read [livejournal.com profile] franzeska's Dear Festividder letter before signups ended—otherwise I wouldn't have discovered that I knew what "Chee & Leaphorn Mysteries" meant.

These were three Masterpiece Mystery movies directed by Chris Eyre (who also made "Smoke Signals"), based on books by Tony Hillerman and starring many of my favorite Native American and First Nations actors, including Wes Studi, Adam Beach, Graham Greene and Tantoo Cardinal. I only knew the movies by their individual titles: "Skinwalkers," "Coyote Waits" and "A Thief of Time."

For people who aren't familiar with the source, which I assume is nearly everyone, all you need to know is that Jim Chee (Adam Beach) is a Navajo tribal police officer and medicine man-in-training who partners with the more experienced and secular Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Wes Studi) to solve crimes that often have a supernatural element to them. And that Leaphorn's wife, Emma, is great.

For all of the above: Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] synn, [livejournal.com profile] deelaundry, [livejournal.com profile] cincodemaygirl, [livejournal.com profile] thedeadparrot, [livejournal.com profile] stultiloquentia and [personal profile] unfinishedidea for various forms of audiencing and feedback.

Thanks also to Dee, stulti, synn, [livejournal.com profile] nightdog_barks, [livejournal.com profile] corbae and [livejournal.com profile] daasgrrl for trying to help me find a song for what ended up as "Two is the loneliest number."

Comments and concrit are always welcome as I try to improve my vidding.
