Back from a long weekend with the grandparents, and off in two days for New York. This is the most exciting news in my life right now. Blah, blah, self-flagellation, but [info - dreamwidth.com]kink_bingo is starting and [info - insanejournal.com]synn will be visiting soon. Also I finally learned how to do DW and IJ user codes. And I enjoyed perfect in a sickening sort of way by perdiccas (Zach Quinto/Chris Pine, intense consent play) and Imaginary Boys by busaikko (John Sheppard/Cameron Mitchell, trans topics) last night/today.

Have you ever played a game at a bridal shower that you enjoyed? I am planning ("planning") one for this weekend and hear they are mostly lame. ETA: Rumors of lameness have been somewhat exaggerated. I think a few of the ideas that turned up on Google will do. But you are still very much welcome to make suggestions....

I look forward to your kink bingo posts, as always!

No real news here either. Zaphod started daycare today. Now he is asleep in the rocketship PJs you gave us. *hug*

Aww. :) He will grow up to be a proper fan through osmosis of family and clothing, I am sure. Day care must have been some combination of tough and relieving...

I will be very lucky if I can finish a bingo this year with everything going on in the next few months and my poor evening time management skills. But it will be great to have a fresh influx of stories.

At L and T's shower, there was a trivia/questionnaire-type game where everyone had to answer questions about the brides, and the best answers (defined either as most correct or most creative) were worth some kind of points.

We had some guests who didn't know the bride (or each other) well, so we stayed away from intimacy stuff like that - but we did do a memory game where people could either write down a memory or make up a memory about the bride, and then she read each one out loud and they voted on whether they thought it was true, which went over well.

You can never go wrong with arts and crafts! I propose that the guests be divided into teams to create wedding apparel for the bride(s) out of everyday household items. The Queen herself shall drop the chequered flag! :D?

A dangerous suggestion when one of the mothers is a home ec teacher, and some of the relatives are finicky about clothes etc. But thanks! The shower ended up going really well.
