18 Oreo turkeys: made!

My friend A. came over to help put them together. They will be transported to work tomorrow—somehow—to feed the colleagues.

Also tomorrow: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, with Gary Oldman and the director doing Q&A after. <3

I'm not sure that Oreos, peanut butter cups, malted milk balls and candy corn go together at all, but the result sure is cute.

p.s. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mamakimi/4123754660/in/photostream/ I can't take credit for inventing them!

This seems like one of the most delicious things ever! But I'm not sure I could eat it because they're so cute! Such a creative design!

We did our best to reproduce http://www.flickr.com/photos/mamakimi/4123754660/in/photostream/ As soon as I saw a similar creation on the front of a mazagine in the supermarket, I knew it would be a fun project to try this Thanksgiving. Still not sure all the pieces go together taste bud-wise, but we'll see what people say tomorrow. :)

Thanks! I wish the icing had come out a little neater, but we were working with scissor-cut plastic bags as piping tools so overall we did pretty well, I guess. :)

Hurrah! I guess that first part is good, because I ran out of Oreos and can't make any more ^turkeys right now.

Quite! Except for one semi-new coworker who has a gluten allergy, whoops. She kept joking about getting some shellac to preserve the little guy, and I didn't know until this afternoon that she wasn't really kidding; she couldn't eat it.

Anyway: \o/

I thought so too when I saw a variant on a magazine cover and decided to give them a go!
