Fannish arts & crafts; rainy weekend

Yesterday was synn's birthday \o/ and we had a good time of it. In the afternoon, we made some Christmas ornaments by decorating salt dough shapes she'd prepared the day before. They turned out cute! Wanted to share some snapshots with you:

Now home, and almost time for lunch with deelaundry and then Batman with some work friends.

Very cute! Every once in a while I love getting immersed in an arts and crafts project. That's part of what I love about being a teacher, is when the kids are doing well enough that I can join them during art class. :D

You make me wonder whether it wouldn't be fun to try arts and crafts again. Then I remembered my daughter looking on sadly last December as her three years younger brother crafted much prettier decorations than she did, in a fraction of the time, and I know leaving a&c behind once I left primary school was a wonderful thing.

But kudos to you and your friend for making such pretty things. My favorite is the octopus. Because tentacles.
