Kinky party snacks etc.! part one of two

So! I held a birthday party last night with some local fan friends and declared the food theme to be Kink Bingo. It was a lot of fun to brainstorm for, prepare, share and finally eat while we watched vids. It also took quite a bit of researching and kitchen work, ha, since I ended up making about six different kinds of snacks, but it was worth it for sure.

 

First, I did a set of Jell-O and pudding cups for my "wet/messy/dirty" square. Inspiration came from a Pinterest pic.

Step one: Assemble tumblers and fillings.

Step two: Make fillings. Cool in fridge.

 



Step three: Find pictures of celebrities/characters who are wet, messy, dirty, and/or topless; print and cut out.

 



Step four: Tape cutouts to cocktail sticks and slide into filled cups.





Step five: Crumble chocolate cookies into the pudding cups. Et voila!

 



Select close-ups for your delectation: John Sheppard, Captain Picard, Peeta from The Hunger Games, Mystique from X-Men with sparkly vampire Edward in the background.

Okay, we will stop there for Bingo card simplicity. Coming up as soon as I wrangle the photos etc.: anonymity, medical kink, tentacles, breathplay, confined/caged, and more.

Extra thanks for showing me my first-ever pics of Jell-o. How you could resist using only smurf and Na'vi for the blue one is beyond me, but Bertie with the duck is of course a brilliant choice.

Heh, Jell-O for some reason became a featured ingredient for the snacks - you'll see more in the next post. Re: who went in the cups, it was harder than I thought to think of Google Image search terms for "wet celebrities" or "muddy [character/actor name]" and so on. Did you know that despite there being approximately eight million photos of Tom Hardy on the Internet, I couldn't find one where he was wet, dirty, or topless that didn't cut off some key part of his head or body? Ah, if only our problems could all be so trifling. :)

This made me laugh and laugh and clap with joy! The Picard vs John Sheppard photo set was particularly darling (you somehow really expressed their ~personalities~ by putting cutouts of them in jello shots) but Bertie and his rubber ducky is also great.

Hee hee, there was indeed some discussion at the party about Sheppard's uncertain expression about having been stuck in some mud (with no company) and about Picard's clear appreciation of same. Picard in fact was the first cup to go. :)

I think the day is finally approaching when I'll do a proper TOS rewatch for the first time in adulthood and stop sticking my fingers in my ears to pretend there's no subtext and kink soaked through every episode. My innocent childhood brain is nearly ready for it.
