Oh my God. Con.txt. I heard about it months ago when people were recapping Escapade and then I completely forgot to check back to see what the programming would be like, and now it is this weekend and it is filled with fandom panels that sound so wonderful I'm tearing up with longing. Woe!

But look. Look! --

I shall hug my WIPs for comfort and hope that con-goers do write-ups after.

Now I wish I hadn't clicked on this, because- I could go! I could drive! But I don't have $100 to register!!! ::wails:: Wow. An all-slash con. Maybe next year…

Now I wish you hadn't posted that, because I will start to cook up plots whereby carpools and small donations allow both of us to go. :)

Next year, indeed. 2007 is the "off" year for the BtVS conference, so there won't be any calendar crowding where that's concerned, and it's close enough geographically that with a little planning (and hopefully some company!) it should be easy to go.

Ohgod, that looks sooooo good! Why are there so many good cons in the States? *whine*

This from a person who's neck-deep in organizing her own conference? Shame. :)

Yes, but but...! I'd so much rather be at someone else's conference now!

So, we swap? This year: HP in Copenhagen, next year: slash in Maryland.

Sounds pretty good to me :-) I am so going to have to go to the States next year! (Unless of course the world has done one of its twists again and I've moved to London, because that will mean being even poorer *G*

OMG. I so wish I could go to this. Not just because it'd be cool. But it would be PERFECT for my dissertation.

I wonder if there's a way I could get the proceedings without actually going.

On the site, it says you can buy a supporting membership for $15 that gets you the registration package and various other items. I don't know if they're doing a proceedings, but I'm sure it's easy to find out. Want me to write them about it?

[A few emails later]

Okay -- they're not sure if they're doing proceedings either! I will write to you with details.
