I had a dream I was watching an episode of the original Star Trek series that I couldn't for the life of me remember. It featured Chase teaching a high school class. He was demonstrating something using a ping pong ball but it got away from him and rolled under a bunch of desks pushed into a corner. A girl with short-cropped black hair who was clearly crushing on him stood up and offered to fetch it. As she struggled to get through the desks to the ball, some kids sitting in the vicinity started teasing and taunting her. Eventually the abuse turned physical. She gave up, upset, and sat back down. Chase resumed his lesson.

Wilson sauntered over and took the seat next to her. He put his arm across the back of her chair and leaned down, close, to ask if she was all right. A few moments later, they were making out, slow and tender and occasionally open-mouthed.

When he had had his fill, Wilson pulled away and said loudly, with that beautiful, horrible smirk from last night's episode, that students are not permitted to have physical contact with teachers (thus preventing her from getting attached now that he'd gotten what he wanted from her). At which point House turned around from a row or two in front of them and told her to stop kissing his boyfriend.

Being a Star Trek episode and all, the scene then switched to Kirk in bed with two women, one or both of whom were aliens, all lying on their backs with the covers pulled up modestly. And then my alarm went off.

Thought you might appreciate it. :D It was kinda hot. Sometimes I do like my subconscious.

I'm just grateful it was the original Star Trek :D

Oh Wilson, you cad. Your subconscious is turning on him...

And what if it had been The Next Generation or DS9 or...?

I spit in your general direction? Well, OK, I admit to a passing fondness for Patrick Stewart, but it passed :)

Hmph. I grew up on the original series and on Next Gen, but DS9 is my baby. However, because they "got in" so early, Kirk, Spock and crew will always have a special place in my heart. *points to special place in heart to prove it* And The Wrath of Khan remains to this day the best of the movies.

I only made it partway through Next Gen - and I haven't actually seen any of the others, so I will take your word for it. Yes, I can disdain things I haven't even seen - "I'm that good" :)

So... I take it you really enjoyed Teenage Vampire then? ;)

I haven't gotten my hands on it yet! Yes, I'm a huge Rene Auberjonois fan; that's how I first heard about the movie, and finding out that RSL played the titular character sealed the deal. Now to find a copy...

Wait, Teenage Vampire? Got it mixed up with My Best Friend is a Vampire.

Sorry, I was thinking of the UK title "I was a Teenage Vampire". For some reason it's always the title which comes to mind first, because it seems more appropriate! I've got a terrible VHS copy somewhere I can burn for you if you like, but it's fairly easily available in the US I think. Amazon UK has the DVD.

Ah, okay, so it is the same thing. That clears up some previous confusion, actually.

I think one of the libraries in the county has it, so I'll try that first. I don't usually buy movies unless I know I'll be watching them a lot.

Me neither, although I did impulsively buy Tape and Swing Kids before realising I could in fact have borrowed them. Don't really regret it though :)

That's funny. Maybe I should start watching the new season of House, if it's inspiring dreams like this.

I wish you would -- I think you'd have some incisive critiques. (No pressure, heh.)
