In which I make embarrassing requests for porn

1. Does anyone know of any, uh, reputable websites that sell, er, gay porn films? In the U.S., preferably, or else possibly Canada? Because tigertrapped wrote this very hot chapter in her Max/Spooks epic (locked for adult material; go ask her to friend you already, what are you waiting for?) and I very much want to see the porn Max and Adam were watching and tigertrapped was kind enough to share the names of the movies and a website to get them from, but it's a UK site, which means (a) expensive with the exchange rate and (b) they don't ship here anyway. I've found many webstores that carry one or more of the movies, but am hesitant to pick one at random.


2. I'm kind of getting into Ronon now in SGA, and have been checking out all the John/Ronon, Rodney/Ronon, Ronon/Rodney/John, Ronon/Rodney/John/Teyla and Ronon/Radek I can find. There isn't enough. (Never enough!) Anyone have any Ronon recs? Slash, het, doesn't matter. There must be good Ronon/Teyla stuff out there; I just haven't looked as hard for it.

Not to ask without also giving. Today, I enjoyed:

• It Stops Being Funny at Skirts by svmadelyn and its sequels by Bone - genderf*ck, John/Ronon and John/Rodney
• Side Effects May Vary by harriet_spy - Ronon helps out when John gets dosed with alien aphrodisiacs -- very hot
• Missing/Inaction by crysothemis - post "Epiphany," Ronon shaves John (this one's for you, Nightdog)
• Kept By Ourselves In Silence and Apart by The Spike - dark hurt/comfort, Ronon/Rodney
• Also I've liked some stuff by Mirabile Dictu including Idioglossia (Ronon/Radek)
• And after perusing the shorter stuff on Hth's website, I've been slowly making my way through her Alpha Centauri series (Ronon/Rodney/John).

3. Relatedly: I'm trying to get synn to warm up to SGA (she's a tough sell, and I like a challenge) and would like to give her a bunch of fic links to try, only she's not overly fond of Sheppard, which knocks out, like, 90% of what's out there. She thinks she might enjoy Ronon/Rodney, or at least she said she can see it. So -- who's got SGA slash fic recs not involving John?

Sadly, no. Sheppard/McKay is my OTP, but as I said, I also really like Dex/McKay. I know I've liked one other fic with that pairing, but I didn't mem it. I'll look for it, though.

I think I've also seen a lot of Beckett/McKay fics, but I didn't read very many of them. I like Carson B., but I just had trouble picturing him pairing with Rodney.

Glurgh shudder cringe, Beckett. Not for me, thank you. The directors seem(ed) to like Beckett/McKay, and the actors are good friends, but I didn't see it really in canon and I don't like Beckett at all anyway, so most of the Beckett pairings/threesomes I've read have been sort of despite the fact that he was in them. synn didn't seem to have an opinion on him one way or the other (she's only seen "Sunday").

Beckett/McKay is one pairing I won't even try to read. Like you said, I didn't see it in canon, and I don't think it probable given the personalities of the characters. *Shudder*

I didn't hate Beckett, but I won't miss him, either. To me he was just sort of there (like Elizabeth). What about him didn't you like?

Hm, well, he wasn't always great at his job, which is a turn-off (I keep going back to "Hot Zone" on that one); the Carson-centric episodes bored me to tears ("Poisoning the Well"); and he looked ridiculous (can't read fic if I don't find the person attractive in some way). His sense of humor fell flat for me, too, and his romantic scenes made me cringe. Plus one of the reasons the Wraith retrovirus plot angers me was the dearth of attention given to Carson's moral qualms about it -- sure, he argued feebly from time to time that it wasn't ready, but he always used it anyway, without calling on his do-no-harm medical training to argue that, say, Wraith aren't inherently evil just because they need people for a food source.

Eh. I wouldn't say I hated him, but I definitely disliked him more often than not, and far more than any other character.

Its a really good site for high quality fic with unusual pairings, so do dig around on the other tags as well.

Apparently that's his preferred source, so I have to say they probably are discreet. I've never noticed mail coming in from them. It must just blend in with the other on-line orders and EBay things.
