Multifandom sex toy fic extravaganza challenge thing

Hey hi hello! I've been busy having a social life this week (what's up with that?), including synn's move and seeing Company with a college friend and attending a fangirl party and seeing another old friend who has a tiny new puppy, and now am tired and have to get up for work in the morning, so this is me just dropping in for a few seconds to say that you should go sign up for the Multifandom Sex Toy challenge. linaerys happily directed me to it on Satuday and I think it's a swell idea. Any fandom, any fic length—so long as there's a sex toy. Or three. The world needs more fanfiction with sex toys, dammit. (I'll be writing one, I think, hooray.)

(I know it may seem like there's been a ficcy dry spell around here, but I'm actually typing away behind the scenes when I can manage it; I just finished a story last week I'd been working on since mid-Remix Redux that clocked in at just under 10,000 words [and is sadly locked to a very few people to protect the person it was written for], and I'm also preparing a crazy story for betteronvicodin, due in August, that may be as long again. Whew!)

Also check out ficcommentary, a budding community for author and possibly reader "DVD commentaries" on fanfic. Again, multifandom. Should be a blast.

I see, I see. Do not be discouraged! (Nor pressured.) If nothing else, you may want to stay tuned for the masterlist on Aug. 16th -- although I don't know how many stories will be in familiar fandoms. Perhaps that doesn't matter -- the kink might outweigh the rest.

I'd like to, one day, and will have to chat with nightdog_barks about it. Mayhap I'll do a DVD commentary on it and open it at the same time; the biggest reason it's locked is that I use a lot of her work within the story and would want readers to know exactly how much I shouldn't get credit for. :)

I saw it, and was that you released in to the general public! But, to be honest, I haven't read it yet. I'm going through a sort of "MUST DETOX" phase and so I've read almost nothing related to the series lately-- pretty much the only exceptions are spoilers for s4. If you've ever eaten too much of your favorite food and then been unable to even *look* at it, that's how I'm feeling now.

Still, seeing how you're one of my favorite House ficcers, so if I ever get back in the mood, it'll be on the list of things to read (together with elicia8's stuff). ^_^

Ah, I know exactly what you mean. I just wanted to make sure you hadn't missed the link when you sounded so plaintive about wanting to read it. :) When you feel like dipping back in, Elicia8 has written some spectacular stories lately.

I've basically dropped out of fandom, which makes me feel bad because I feel like I'm bailing out on everyone for no apparent reason? But I'm happy with the friends I've made here and I hope I can keep them outside of the fandom.

Man, I wish Elicia8 had written months ago what's she's writing now, I'd have been so ecstatic to read it then. XD
