AWESOME PHOTO OF (HOUSE AND) WILSON

It's one of five season-four promo shots in the post, which warns for spoilers, but as a spoiler-phobe I can assure you that there's nothing to fear.

C'mon! The gaze! The smile! The pose! The diploma! The bear! The Gryffindor tie!

Wow, just watch the House/Wilson fans explode--then come back to life in a frenzy of icon and header making! Hee, that's awesome.

*flails* You know, it's pictures like this that make me want to watch S3, just so I understand S4.

I want the bear! *g*

*falls down, drooling and flailing*

I have just fallen in love with a fictional character's polished shoes and teddy bear.

Could this mean that RSL is finally going to get a decent hunk of screentime? Mercy, when did that last happen? Son of a Coma Guy, which was so long ago the earth was still cooling.

Hee - I may or may not have just done exactly the same thing...

Confirmation of McGill! Looks like undergrad, which means Wilson, like myself, may have had his first legal drink in the Peel Street Pub! Yay, recycled beer!

Dear props department;

Please learn how to spell. Poor Wilson is, apparently, only an oncolgist. Sad. Very sad.

Amused love,
Me.

I think I am going to marry this picture.

I certainly didn't do that, too. Nope. Certainly not the wallpaper on my work computer.

I have SO missed Wilson's smile.

*melts*

I'm not one of the HoYay crowd, but to see how much Wilson adores House -- it's just irresistibly charming.

I'll take an extra large order of that with a side order of sarcasm and a jumbo size Snark Cola, please.

Could it be? Or could they be teasing us with disproportionate promo shots, perhaps to compensate for holding back on revealing the rest of the cast?

SoCG is still my favorite episode of the season. Coincidence? We don't think so.

I have just fallen in love with a fictional character's polished shoes and teddy bear.

The shoes are oddly attractive. On him. All shiny and rubber-soled and beside brown socks. I do love Wilson in brown.

:( Or the photos are reversed and Wilson was sad and alone until House crashed in! Yes.

Can you tell what those four trophies are in the second photo? I've got fishing and golf, but there's the one with laurels down in front and the other in the back that looks like... lacrosse? polo? something scoopy.

Hee!

Despite my frequent flailing, I'm on both sides of the fence regarding Wilson's feelings for House -- I adore the slash and can believe Wilson's feelings are entirely platonic/fraternal at the same time. Either way, BOY have I missed that open affection on his face, so present in Season One.

Wilson and the bear kind of have similar poses and expressions... A canonical comparison, perhaps? :)

If it were me, I'd watch S3 because I don't like missing things. A lot of it wasn't entirely enjoyable to watch (or re-watch), but I still think it's completely worth it.

You know you want to write it!

(It'd be very cool if people who know the area and/or the school -- either McGill or Columbia, actually -- were to write college/grad-school-aged Wilson stories with real-life details to bring them alive.)

There are five trophies on Wilson's credenza.

Top Level: Gold-ish golfing trophy. Silver cup trophy (no handles) that might also be golf (it looks like possibly golf clubs holding up the cup).

Middle Level: Silver cup with handles on wood base with black nameplate - can't tell what it's for. Gold-ish fishing trophy.

Bottom Level: Gold-ish cup wiht handles on wood base with brass nameplate - can't tell what it's for.

One of Wilson's paperbacks is An Hour to Kill by Karen Yapalater. "Karin Yapalater earned a BA from New York University and an MFA from Columbia University's Graduate Writing Program. She lives in New York City and Bridgehampton with her husband and children. An Hour to Kill is her first novel." - Friend of RSL's? LOL

Although, if the silver cup-no handle is for lacrosse than ARKDJKDJSKDFLK because remember Paternity, and House "watching" the lacrosse game? XKDJLJDLFKJS

Oh, ha -- I thought the gold golfer was standing on top of the silver cup, but now I see the base on the shelf behind. Five trophies it is.

Do I remember House watching the lacrosse game. Pssh. :) And playing pseudo-lacrosse with his cane and giant tennis ball against his office wall. If it is lacrosse -- and I think they look more like lacrosse sticks than golf clubs, but what do I know -- then maybe House and Wilson have (had) more sports in common than it seemed. Maybe they used to play more than golf (*cough* not that way) in the pre-infarction days. I can't see House fishing, though. Except in PWCorgigirl's story.

Good eye on the paperback, too. I was looking at the hardcovers I could make out: Personal Health on the upper left, SYMPTOM-something on the lower right.

Oh, I do indeed. I've been holding back on writing any stories set in Montreal until further clarification - med school, undergrad, etc. - because it would make a pretty significant difference.

I don't actually know McGill or Montreal all that well - I went to uni in Ottawa, though I weekended in Montreal just a few days after my 18th birthday, hence the first legal drink. But I have friends who grew up in Montreal and/or went to McGill that I can pump for details.

Yes, a smile! It's not as broad as the toothy grins of yesteryear, but it's good to see he hasn't forgotten how to be happy(ish?) around House.

Last season was something of a disaster overall. While I'm not ready to give up, myself -- it takes a lot for me to quit once I'm in -- I think I understand where you're coming from.

Good enough, says I. I'm sure you can write Wilson in Montreal as if you'd been there longer. I've only visited Princeton twice, but those quick trips and emails to my friend who lived there have sufficed for fic-writing. (And, uni in Ottawa? Neat. That's one of three places in Canada I've been, together with Vancouver and Toronto, and I remember it best, which makes sense, since it was the most recent trip [2004]).

ANYWAY. Wilson. College. Alcohol.

This picture makes me incredibly happy. I hope it's true to the spirit of the next season and not just a promo shot aimed at H/W shippers. It would be wonderful to see Wilson smiling again and to regain the H/W dynamic of S1.

The mispelling on the diploma is a riot. LOL!

BTW, when does the season begin? (I'm afraid to go looking anywhere on the Net for the date in case I run into spoilers.)

Wilson being happy with House would be nice. It would be better if both were happy around each other, but-- it's more than what we got last year. XXD

I wouldn't think twice about watching next year if I thought that things would get better. I'm doubtful on that scale! But if they manage to treat the Wilson character better--?
