AWESOME PHOTO OF (HOUSE AND) WILSON
It's one of five season-four promo shots in the post, which warns for spoilers, but as a spoiler-phobe I can assure you that there's nothing to fear.
C'mon! The gaze! The smile! The pose! The diploma! The bear! TheGryffindor tie!

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:42 pm (UTC)(It'd be very cool if people who know the area and/or the school -- either McGill or Columbia, actually -- were to write college/grad-school-aged Wilson stories with real-life details to bring them alive.)

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 09:35 pm (UTC)I don't actually know McGill or Montreal all that well - I went to uni in Ottawa, though I weekended in Montreal just a few days after my 18th birthday, hence the first legal drink. But I have friends who grew up in Montreal and/or went to McGill that I can pump for details.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:32 pm (UTC)Can you tell what those four trophies are in the second photo? I've got fishing and golf, but there's the one with laurels down in front and the other in the back that looks like... lacrosse? polo? something scoopy.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 09:15 pm (UTC)Top Level: Gold-ish golfing trophy. Silver cup trophy (no handles) that might also be golf (it looks like possibly golf clubs holding up the cup).
Middle Level: Silver cup with handles on wood base with black nameplate - can't tell what it's for. Gold-ish fishing trophy.
Bottom Level: Gold-ish cup wiht handles on wood base with brass nameplate - can't tell what it's for.
One of Wilson's paperbacks is An Hour to Kill by Karen Yapalater. "Karin Yapalater earned a BA from New York University and an MFA from Columbia University's Graduate Writing Program. She lives in New York City and Bridgehampton with her husband and children. An Hour to Kill is her first novel." - Friend of RSL's? LOL

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 09:24 pm (UTC)Do I remember House watching the lacrosse game. Pssh. :) And playing pseudo-lacrosse with his cane and giant tennis ball against his office wall. If it is lacrosse -- and I think they look more like lacrosse sticks than golf clubs, but what do I know -- then maybe House and Wilson have (had) more sports in common than it seemed. Maybe they used to play more than golf (*cough* not that way) in the pre-infarction days. I can't see House fishing, though. Except in PWCorgigirl's story.
Good eye on the paperback, too. I was looking at the hardcovers I could make out: Personal Health on the upper left, SYMPTOM-something on the lower right.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:40 pm (UTC)If it were me, I'd watch S3 because I don't like missing things. A lot of it wasn't entirely enjoyable to watch (or re-watch), but I still think it's completely worth it.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 07:29 pm (UTC)I have just fallen in love with a fictional character's polished shoes and teddy bear.
Could this mean that RSL is finally going to get a decent hunk of screentime? Mercy, when did that last happen? Son of a Coma Guy, which was so long ago the earth was still cooling.

I'm not one of the HoYay crowd, but to see how much Wilson adores House -- it's just irresistibly charming.
I'll take an extra large order of that with a side order of sarcasm and a jumbo size Snark Cola, please.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:36 pm (UTC)Despite my frequent flailing, I'm on both sides of the fence regarding Wilson's feelings for House -- I adore the slash and can believe Wilson's feelings are entirely platonic/fraternal at the same time. Either way, BOY have I missed that open affection on his face, so present in Season One.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:30 pm (UTC)SoCG is still my favorite episode of the season. Coincidence? We don't think so.
I have just fallen in love with a fictional character's polished shoes and teddy bear.
The shoes are oddly attractive. On him. All shiny and rubber-soled and beside brown socks. I do love Wilson in brown.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:43 pm (UTC)Brown suits Wilson, because he's such a teddy bear guy himself. :)

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:10 pm (UTC)Please learn how to spell. Poor Wilson is, apparently, only an oncolgist. Sad. Very sad.
Amused love,
Me.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 08:18 pm (UTC)Maybe the fact that he's got a degree in Oncolgy explains some of his (mis)diagnoses on the show.

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 09:37 pm (UTC)Last season was something of a disaster overall. While I'm not ready to give up, myself -- it takes a lot for me to quit once I'm in -- I think I understand where you're coming from.

Date: Jul. 28th, 2007 02:44 am (UTC)I wouldn't think twice about watching next year if I thought that things would get better. I'm doubtful on that scale! But if they manage to treat the Wilson character better--?

Date: Jul. 27th, 2007 10:43 pm (UTC)The mispelling on the diploma is a riot. LOL!
BTW, when does the season begin? (I'm afraid to go looking anywhere on the Net for the date in case I run into spoilers.)
