SGA finale.

I don't think I've ever watched a series that didn't have an arc leading up to the series finale. It's strange. No emotional buildup. Well, I got that last week, and I was satisfied. Let's see what happens here.
Woolsey tells John he's needed on Earth, and John goes. It's mildly disappointing that this John isn't fanon John, who'll die before abandoning Pegasus, but at the same time I can't help but be touched by his dedication to saving his first home.
So Ronon and Teyla abandon their galaxy to help the Earthers without a second thought? After Ronon swore not to give up until every last Wraith was dead and Teyla has, you know, a husband and baby and decimated people? And nobody asks about the problems associated with removing the city from Pegasus while the Wraith are still around?
Sigh. It's not like they could fix their entire show in its last hour.
I like how blatantly this has become the John/Todd show. "When I'm with you, I feel like I have a live grenade in my pocket"? Seriously? "You do know how to talk to me, John Sheppard."
Also, why can't the makeup department make Todd look like the same person from arc to arc? Tonight he's looking raggedy in the hair and especially human-esque in the face.
Kavanagh was funny there, and only mildly obnoxious in the same way Rodney was in the beginning of the series. Making his faces as Rodney pushed him aside. Looks like he's learned how best to deal with these people.
Bleh, Carson. Go away! I thought I was rid of you for good at long last! And since when are you comfortable with *or* competent at using the chair?
And then Sheppard recapitulates Independence Day. Trying to fly his plane and get the darts. Losing his flying buddy. Flying a nuke into space and onto the mother ship.
I like that he called his plane "baby." Always did want to see how he handles "real" flight.
Ronon! Gah. Bastards. Since when do drones carry knives?
And they just leave the body?
Oh, John's *face* when he finds out.
And *that's* why you don't leave your men behind. Yay, he isn't dead.
Heh. Keller's "...Okay." is kind of priceless.
Okay, Apollo 13 rip-off, again, zzz.
Right, and now Ronon and Teyla are stuck in the Milky Way. Nice job.
Whee, invented retroactive relationship for Ronon. In the sense of not-whee at all. Just like the magical retroactive ZPMs. No, really, we've had them since last year and didn't say anything. Just like Rodney's wormhole-drive! Okay, no, that one I believed. Rodney has lots of ingenious projects lying around in various states of completion.
So, did John kill Todd? I vote no. They love being enemies too much. Maybe Todd'll end up in a nice glass cage at the SGC like in "Vegas," and then he can cameo in whatever travesties they're cooking up for the SGA straight-to-DVD movies.
Then again, I can completely see John smirking at Todd's laugh/last comment/etc., pulling out his handgun, shooting, and walking out without looking back.
But I hope he didn't.
I'd say the cut to John and Teyla in frame together after Ronon/Amelia and Rodney/Jennifer suggests John/Teyla (yay), except Teyla's got that family nobody mentioned.
Agh. Agh. Nausea. That's the ending? Really? Agh.
