I am -- was -- okay, am still having a grumpy day and a stressful week, but there is this not-really-spoilery promo shot for the next House episode:

All I have to say is: (1) OMG cute, and (2) I can't believe I called this of all things.

Now bring on the mistletoe.

What a great smile on House.

I don't know about New Jersey, but in Maryland we do often get snow that's really dry. It can pile up a few inches and still be swept away with a broom. It's more like cold dust than snow.

So it's fake snow, but.... possibly... maybe.... acceptable if you kinda squint. And not think about it too much.

Heh. No, you're right, we get weird snow like that sometimes that makes me think of popcorn or styrofoam, little dry bouncy clumpy balls. But it's weird enough in reality, and even harder to believe on screen. If that's the kind of snow they were going for, though, then well done.

House's smile is wonderful. It's rare enough as it is, and even better to see when it's Wilson-elicited and -directed. Goes on the list with the MRI "This is God" and the infamous Chinese dinner and the post-broken-cane grin, etc.
